HYPERION

Our prototype vehicle, nicknamed Proto, serves as the team's introduction to remote controlled flight. The vehicle's foremost objective is to validate our avionic systems, engineering principles, and aerodynamic workflow. Manufacturing is planned to begin in Spring of 2024 with the first flight attempt to be conducted in the following summer. With the data gained from the coming flight tests, we can pivot into the development of our Record Breaker Program with improved methods of research, development, and manufacturing.

RECORED BREAKER PROGRAM

The Record Breaker Program will be sustained throughout the life of GTSC with the mission of continuously pushing the limit of the fastest remote-controlled, jet-powered aircraft through the research and implantation of high-speed technology. Record Breaker V1 (RBV1) will utilize a turbojet propulsion system with the goal of validating our computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, performance, and control systems. Following RBV1, Record Breaker V2 will be a refined version of its predecessor, along with the addition of an afterburner to the propulsion system.

Development of RBV1 is planned to begin Spring of 2024

MACHING BIRD

Our sonic vehicle. Fully autonomous and designed to reach Mach 1 by any means.

Development planned to begin Spring of 2025
